My name is Katerina Sarpionova, and I live between folklore and magic, past and present. Tales of Balkan Magic is my way of gathering and sharing what still exists beneath the surface – the neglected rites, the ancestral lessons, the embers of knowledge and connection that refuse to die out.

Created in 2023, the “Tales of Balkan Magic” YouTube channel was the beginning of it all. The initial choice of silence in my vlogs was intentional – meant as a retreat from the noise of the world, a quiet space where you can immerse yourself fully in the stories, rituals, and wisdom of the Balkans.
But there is only so much you can share in a silent vlog and I have a lot to share. So in 2025 I began expanding the channel with new approaches – still rooted in the same spirit, but reaching further into the world of story, tradition, and magic.
My Instagram is a more personal glimpse into my world – fragments of everyday magic, glimpses of rituals, and moments that hold meaning for me. I share what feels true and worth remembering, not what algorithms prefer.
For years, I have shared my love for folklore, history, and magic with all who seek to understand the soul of the Balkans. In the beginning of 2025, I opened my Patreon to create a deeper, more immersive space – a hearth where stories are told in full, and where the living tradition of Balkan magic can be experienced directly.
